Choosing a new logo is a big decision. It shapes how people see a brand and can set the tone for years to come. Recently, we invited our community to help us pick the new face of our brand through a poll. The response was overwhelming, with plenty of votes and passionate feedback. Today, we are thrilled to reveal the winner of that poll....
Why a New Logo Matters
A logo is more than just a picture. It’s the first impression customers get when they think of a comic shop. For a small business like ours, the logo needs to capture the spirit of the community and the excitement of comics. It should be memorable, easy to recognize, and reflect what makes us unique in the north east comic shop scene.
Our old logo served us well, but as our shop grows and evolves, we wanted a fresh look that connects with both long-time fans and new visitors. The poll gave everyone a chance to share their voice and help shape our future.
The Winning Design
The winning logo garnered an impressive 47% of the total votes. An honourable mention goes to our old/current logo, which finished in second place..

This design for Blue Eyed Devils Comics is a bold, circular design that immediately commands attention. At its centre is a stylised red devil head, formed from sharp, flame‑like shapes that give it a fierce, dynamic energy. The devil’s piercing blue eyes glow vividly against the dark background, creating a striking contrast that reinforces the “blue‑eyed” identity.
Encircling the central figure is a cream‑coloured ring bordered in blue and black, containing the brand name “BLUE EYED DEVILS COMICS.” The typography is strong and modern, with “BLUE EYED” positioned at the top and “DEVILS” prominently featured below, while “COMICS” sits neatly beneath in smaller text. Two blue stars flank the sides, adding symmetry and balance to the composition.
Overall, the logo blends dark fantasy and comic‑book intensity with clean, professional design. Its colour palette of red, blue, cream, and black evokes power and intrigue — perfectly suited to a brand that celebrates bold storytelling and collector appeal.
